WMG's Innovation Business Leadership Programme is Open for ApplicationsMember News
WMG at the University of Warwick has opened up the application process for a second cohort of business owners and managers to participate in its cutting edge Innovation Business Leadership (IBL) programme. The first cohort of 16 leaders from a range of successful Midlands businesses completed their final module this month and the feedback has been excellent.
The short programme consists of five separate 3-day modules and offers leaders within small and medium sized enterprises the chance to gain a Postgraduate Award as a stepping stone to a Masters Degree. It blends WMG's world renowned technical research with real business implications and insights that can be implemented immediately for maximum impact in a business.
Years of research and partnership with employers have created an evidence base body of knowledge that rarely sees the light of day in management practice. Yet its application can transform business productivity and performance.
Peter Cieslak, Head of Procurement and Product Development at Coventry based Region Services Ltd who took part in the programme between 2014 and 2015 said:
"IBL was absolutely brilliant, I loved the entire course, the tutors, the course directors, the WMG team in general."
Theresa Williams, Finance Director at Birmingham based C. Brandauer & Co Ltd told us:
If youd have asked me before the course, am I an innovative and creative person, Id have said absolutely not. But by the end I was thinking was that me, did I do that? Its a fun environment to learn in. The company has already had some good outputs, particularly around strategy. Its been a really valuable experience.
*If companies are on the Growth Accelerator scheme, leadership and management training budget can be used towards the cost of IBL.
