WMG is running a workshop for West Midlands Manufacturers to highlight Innovations in Low Volume Manufacturing. It will run as part of the Manufacturing Matters campaign that the Manufacturing Advisory Service have launched to highlight why manufacturing matters and what support is out there to help companies grow.
The event led by WMG's Dr Ben Wood will be held at the cutting edge International Institute for Product and Service Innovation on Tuesday 3rd December.
During the day there will be demonstrations of equipment in the IIPSI Technology Hall and the International Manufacturing Centre and topics such as CAD software (SolidWorks), Additive Layer Manufacturing and Low Volume Injection Moulding will be covered.
Businesses that come to the workshop will find out what to expect from 3D printed parts, witness additive manufacturing in process and will be able to select appropriate manufacturing routes for initial parts in low volumes.
The event is for SMEs in the West Midlands region only (companies with <250 employees and <£40 million turnover)
