WMG at the University of Warwick is hosting a free two day event programme designed for SME owner/managers entitled the "Innovation Feast" in December. Over the two days businesses can expect to garner valuable insight, tools and guidance to take their organisations forward into the New Year.
The programme runs from 2.00pm-8.00pm on 10th December and 8.00am-3.00pm on 11th December.
Speakers on the first day include manufacturing specialist Will Sterling, David Greenwood, WMG's new Professor in Advanced Propulsion Systems, Helen Trim Director of FreshMinds one of the fasting growing companies in the UK and Matt Lane, Director of award winning SME Beerbods. There will be a networking dinner, drinks reception and several awards for SMEs and interns that have worked with WMG over the last year.
Will Sterling who writes and commissions articles for The Times' Raconteur special reports and a number of other industry titles including The Manufacturer will talk about future trends in the manufacturing sector. Will is a contributor to the Associate Parliamentary Manufacturing Group's rolling research into UK manufacturing competitiveness and has produced events such as Meet the Mittelstand and the Global Manufacturing Festival.
WMG's Professor David Greenwood has had a distinguished career at Ricardo UK Ltd where he was Head of Hybrid and Electric Systems and will talk about the UK's future in low carbon systems that will be of interest to manufacturers in the automotive supply chain.
On the second day manufacturers can hear about future developments in additive manufacturing (3D printing), how to deliver the ultimate customer experience as well as insight into funding available to support more energy efficient manufacturing. There will also be information about access to finance and digital innovations that manufacturers need to be aware of
