WMG collaborates with MAS on new event

On 16th May, WMG is hosting a New Product Development Discovery Workshop with the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) for small and medium sized manufacturers in the West Midlands. 

The event will take place at WMG's cutting edge International Institute for Product and Service Innovation. Using MAS's New Product Development Gateway tool, the workshop will explore critical areas that manufacturers need to focus on when developing new products across marketing, manufacture, product, finance and business.

Sessions running during the day include:

Prototyping

A practical session offering an introduction to Additive Layer Manufacturing Technology and how it is possible to take digital data to create a 3D physical prototype.

Product Benefits 

A session using one of WMG's propritary tools "Design with Intent" to look at what specific behaviours you can derive through clever product design and how you can better meet user requirements.

Social Media as Intelligence Tool

How chatter and discussion on Twitter et al can help you determine what your competitors are doing and how you might use social media to create advocates and a community to ultimately sell your products.

Access to Finance

Have you finance in place for product development? 

Session covering places that businesses can go to access finance for new product development.

The International Institute for Product and Service Innovation is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the University of Warwick to support SMEs in the West Midlands develop new products and services.

Please note to attend this workshop you must be a West Midlands based SME with fewer than 250 employees, and a turnover of less than 50 million euros.
